I recently travelled to Florida to soak up some sun and visit my family. Maybe it’s because Denver is still in the midst of winter and I haven’t seen a plant in bloom for months, or maybe it’s because the warm sun and sea air elevated my senses, but Fort Myers, Florida seemed more gorgeous than ever.
Throughout the trip the flora, fauna, architecture, and energy of the town artistically inspired me. As a result, I created some color combinations based off of the gorgeous sites I visited.
Colors are vital in visually communicating a message. Hues themselves can convey certain tones relating to emotion, location, season, etc. As proven by the way Florida’s landscape made me feel, surrounding colors have the power to relax or excite, so use appropriately! The following series elicit feelings of warm weather, relaxation, and fun, so enjoy using them for your spring and summer creations!
