In our ongoing series, here’s what Libby Pinkerton, one of the newest interns, told us about her life outside the office:
Did you make it to any concerts this summer?
This past July, my brother and I saw Alt-J, one of our favorite bands at Red Rocks. Alt-J is known for putting on phenomenal live performances, but this show definitely took the cake. Since my brother lives in Oklahoma and rarely makes it out to visit me, I was glad that we could share this Red Rocks experience, something that’s so unique to Denver.
Where is the coolest place you’ve traveled? Any travel plans coming up?
I studied abroad at the University of Westminster in London during my Junior year of college. While London was my home base during the weeks, I took advantage of the weekends to travel throughout Europe. One weekend I met up with friends in Amsterdam. I loved everything about the city. The weather was unbelievable, the canals were so scenic and I had some of the most delicious food in my entire life. I think it would be awesome to go back and stay in a house boat.
Unfortunately, I don’t have any travel plans coming up, but Greece is at the top of my list!
What is your favorite thing about living in Colorado?
The list could go on and on. I graduated this past spring from the University of Denver. I absolutely adored my four years at the school—the people I met, spending weekends in the mountains, going to sporting events, and of course, the beautiful weather. Also, a major plus – almost all of my close friends from college decided to make Denver their permanent home too! Go Pios! I hope to continue to explore what this beautiful state has to offer in the coming years.
