Linhart Public Relations Wins Three PRSA Silver Anvil Awards

Top Industry Awards Recognize Two Campaigns for Verlasso Harmoniously Raised Fish and Linhart PR’s Own Employee Communications Program

DENVER, Colo., June 16, 2014 Linhart Public Relations, a national public relations, digital media and corporate communications counseling firm based in Colorado, won three national Silver Anvil Awards from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA).

This is the first time that Linhart PR has received a Silver Anvil Award, which recognizes the best public relations programs conducted nationwide each year, based on excellence in research, planning, execution and evaluation.

The awards were presented during a ceremony last night in New York City. Among the 156 finalists, Linhart PR won the Silver Anvil Award in the following campaign categories:

  • Reputation/Brand Management – Business (Companies with Sales Up to $50 Million) for “Verlasso Salmon Overcomes Industry Stereotypes to Build Sales and Environmentally-Friendly Reputation.” This Linhart PR campaign, conducted on behalf of Verlasso Harmoniously Raised Fish, helped build the company’s reputation and show target audiences – chefs, distributors, retailers and consumers – that Verlasso’s farmed salmon is a healthy, sustainable and great-tasting choice.
  • Integrated Communications – Consumer Products (Food & Beverage) for “Verlasso Salmon Reels in Awareness and Sales as Sustainable, Healthy Fish Choice.” This campaign for Verlasso Salmon effectively used traditional media relations, social channels and other influencer outreach strategies to showcase the brand and its leading sustainability practices.
  • Internal Communications – Business (Fewer than 1,000 Employees) for “Linhart Public Relations: Creating a Great Place to Work, Thrive and Grow.” This award recognized the firm’s own employee communications program that includes team-building and career development activities to help maintain a collaborative culture and retention.

In addition, Linhart PR and Verlasso also won a national PRSA Bronze Anvil Award of Commendation in the Newsletters-Digital category for its entry “Verlasso Salmon Shares Insights, Generates Leads through Currents e-Newsletter.” The Bronze Anvil awards recognize the year’s best public relations tactics.

This year’s Silver Anvil competition drew a total of 843 entries. Of those, only 156 organizations were selected as finalists, including Linhart PR.
