Following serious flooding events in and around north Denver, the City and County of Denver committed to an ambitious stormwater infrastructure program, known as Platte to Park Hill: Stormwater Systems. The complex program was made-up of four projects that will provide critical flood protection, increase neighborhood connectivity and public spaces, and improve water quality and existing infrastructure for current and future community members. Linhart PR was engaged to help earn national recognition for the program in the engineering, design, constructional and municipal government communities.
Stormwater management is not a sexy topic. The layered delivery timeline of the various projects evolved for a variety of reasons. Engagement from a large project team comprised of city staff, program management consultants, engineers and construction contractors was needed to develop compelling narratives about the program.
